「Did you sleep well?」/空き地
人間が一日の生活の終わりに眠りにつくように、写真も制作のプロセスを経て完成し眠りにつく。そう考えています。このプロジェクトは制作現場からぴょんと飛び出し、写真が心地良く眠れそうな寝室をゼロからさがす、という試みです。今回はその実験として展示会場に空き地と銭湯を選びました。
Pyon-Pyon Project /The vacant land
I have launched a project titled “Pyon-Pyon Project” to propose possibilities of the new way of appreciating photography. Pyon-Pyon means “jumping out”. In this project, I presumed that my trying, I chose a vacant land and a public bath. This idea came from my desire to share my images with anyone and to lessen the distance between works and the audience. In the end, I succeeded in provoking communication between the two. I also gained a lot of hints and responses that I did not to expect through the period of my exhibition by placing my works in an actual life space, unlike museums and galleries which exist especially for art works to be neatly shown.
