Did you sleep well?2015
私は写真づくりを楽しむようになってから、自らの「イメージ」を大切にしてきました。ここ数年はその「イメージ」に人物を出現させることによって生まれる出来事を撮影し続けています。起点となる「イメージ」は、誰しもが目にするモノや風景からヒントを得ています。例えば、最近ではコンビニのソフトクリームだったり、おばさんのゴミ出しの様子だったり。日常生活の観察から、一枚の写真を制作しています。
そして、人間が一日の生活の終わりに眠りにつくように、写真も制作のプロセスを経て完成し眠りにつく。そう考えています。
“Materials” indicate the major impression that one image has. Most of my works are developed by multiplying an “image” and “human”, with the consequence of “happening”. In Japan, such materials can be spotted by carefully observe daily life. I intend to observe the local’s daily life, especially their food, clothing and shelter, and search for items and people for the “materials” used in my works.
